Tory explained that she had come from a food background and spent a year training at the School of Artisan Food in Nottinghamshire. She has a micro-bakery at her home and mainly bakes for Border Bean in Kington, and local holiday homes. She works for 4 days full time in banking but hopes to eventually bake full time. She showed us how she produced 4 different flavours of ciabatta bread, and showed us the yeast, special flour and how to ‘dock’ the dough in the tray. She will be emailing the recipe to Barbara Morgan who will distribute it to those interested.
Once the ciabatta was prepared and put in the oven we proceeded to business. Claire Burton gave the vote of thanks.
